Celebrity Diets: Not Only for the Rich and Famous

When it comes to trends, we all look to Hollywood celebrities. Whether it's a fashion trend or diet trend, we all want to find out celebrities' secrets for fitness and weight loss. How long did it take for the famous actor or celebrity to lose weight for the part? How did the supermodel get back into shape only weeks after giving birth?

Just as there are more "stars" than you can count, so too is the number of celebrity diets. Celebrity diets range from controversial fad diets for a quick weight loss to nutritionally balanced diets for a long-term healthier weight loss.

The South Beach diet, Zone diet, Detox diet and Atkins diet all have many celebrity fans. The reason for this is because weight loss on these diets, as well as on other fad diets, is usually very quick. The Cookie Diet is another popular celebrity diet for fast weight loss. By eating a few low-calorie cookies throughout the day, and one small dinner, you can lose about 15 pounds a month.
Many diets employ famous celebrities as spokespeople to gain exposure. Actors, public figures and professional athletes are hired by weight loss programs, including Weight Watchers®, Slim-Fast®, Jenny Craig® and others. Even weight loss pills such as TrimSpa® have used celebrities to endorse their products. Usually celebrities promote diets on which they themselves have had success in losing weight.
Other entertainers use their status to promote their own celebrity diet which they developed themselves. For example, actress Suzanne Somers created Somersize, a celebrity diet that claims you can eat food in abundant portions and lose weight at the same time.

Other celebrities employ personal nutritionists or personal trainers to help them lose weight and get into shape quickly. While most of us do not have the resources to live a celebrity lifestyle, you can still adapt a celebrity diet or use their diet tips to help you lose weight.

No money to hire a private chef to cook you low-carb, low-fat diet meals? Jenny Craig® and NutriSystem® are two diet programs that offer pre-packaged meals and snacks to purchase from their website. While more expensive than other diet plans, these weight loss programs are not "break-the-bank" expensive, so you can stay out of the kitchen, lose weight, and keep it off. Is hiring a full-time personal trainer or building a home, state-of the-art gym out of the question? Join a local gym or aerobics class, or go jogging with a friend instead.

These are realistic alternatives to help you lose weight. You may not be a celebrity, but by losing weight and getting into shape, you will feel good about yourself and feel like a celebrity.
