Celebrity Diets: Not Only for the Rich and Famous

Celebrity diets had gotten media attention over the years. The reason for hot media attention is because Hollywood stars are the ones usually who promote celebrity diets, its either they themselves have plan it or that their personal trainer had conceptualized the diet program.

Some of the most popular celebrity diets are:

  • Gwyneth Paltrow – Zen Macrobiotic diet
  • Oprah Winfrey – Cabbage Soup Diet
  • Rene Zellweger – Zone diet
  • Heidi Klum – low fat/low carb diet

The Zen Macrobiotic diet prohibits dairy food products, caffeine, alcohol, meat, eggs and fish. Dieters who try this diet should be ready to eat organic and raw foods. This diet often lacks vitamin B12 and proteins which are needed by the body.

The Cabbage Soup diet focus on eating one kind of meal all day along with the specially prepared broth of V8 juices, cabbage and onion soup. This diet is often not a well balanced diet as it lacks many nutrients and vitamins.

Celebrity diet may not bring good results and the status of the celebrity endorser is not an assurance that it will yield healthy long term results. It is recommended that you consult first your doctor before you practice any type of diet plan whether it is a celebrity diet or a diet program from any weight loss center.
